The votes: Yes 268 No 152 Congrats to Luster Jackson and the East Garfield Park folks: In the 28th Ward, 59th Precinct, East Garfield Park: they passed the CFCD advisory referendum calling for developers to provide 30% affordable set aside for all new construction of 10 or more units. The votes: Yes 39 No 6 Congrats to Margaret Kleist and RPCAN: In the 49th Ward, 27th Precinct: they passed the CFCD advisory referendum calling for developers to provide 30% affordable set aside for all new/rehab construction of 10 or more units. The votes: Yes 184 No 14 And, they passed the CFCD advisory referendum requiring landlords to make repairs--when 10 or more building code violations exists--prior to raising rents. The votes: Numbers not available at this time (The Trib' numbers are incorrect). But, it passed by over 90% of the voters! To all of those who worked so hard to get these on the ballot, and then worked extra hard to get the vote out--we are all appreciative of your efforts, your sacrifice of personal time and most of all..............the time spend outside in Chicago's winter as you collected signatures and door knocked.
